Someone is up to their waist in waste!

In an ever increasing web of surveillance in the UK some bright spark has decided to use RFID trackers in the bottom of wheelie bins to "track volumes of disposed waste". Hmmm, add to this seemingly innocuous application, a Tesco Club Card style data mining effort and you have the complete consumer consumption lifecycle (warning pdf!). At least with Tescos you receive vouchers for your data...

End to the Summer Blues

This is roughly technology based..

I'm a regular sufferer from Seasonal Rhinitis or Hayfever as it is more commonly known.
Essentially the membrane at the top of your nose can be come irritated by airborne allogens such as pollen, pet hair, moulds etc. This membrane in turn triggers the production of Histamine causing the typical syptoms of hayfever (runny nose, itchy throat etc). There are many drugs know as Antihistamines on the market that mask this effect on your body but I find that they make me lethargic...even the non drowsy ones!
Then I found this product

Using photo therapy, Medinose inhibits the release of histamine, relieving or even completely eliminating allergic reactions and complaints in a natural way. The body is not burdened by drugs and Medinose has no side effects. Medinose consists of a small power pack (about the size of cigarette packet) and two probes which are inserted into the nostrils. Each treatment session with the Medinose takes just approx. 4.5 minutes 2-3 times a day.

I originally read about this and dismissed it as "copper bracelet" bunk but I am pleased I gave it a try. I no longer suffer...unless I over indulge on the vino collapso of course :-)
